The new TER DAKAR-AIBD is a major project for a regional train line connecting the capital with the new airport. The 14 stops along the route called halts, responds to the following considerations: hosting the programs linked to the TER, ensuring thermal comfort for users whilst depicting a unique homogeneous architectural style. Each building consists of a volume built with compressed earth blocks, sheltered from the sun and the weather by a canopy roof with an autonomous structure. This dissociation results in good ventilation and makes the most of natural light while protecting itself from direct sunlight.
